In trying to attract new customers and retain existing policyholders,
Directline have recently enhanced their car insurance product with some
new features.
For the first time named drivers specified on a Directline
policy will be offered no claims discounts. This benefit is intended
to help named
drivers who do not have their own car insurance to build up their own
no claims discount. In the future therefore, assuming a Directline named
driver does not have any claims for five years, they will be entitled
to receive up to 5 years NCD when they take out their own car insurance.
Another incentive if you are a single driver and the
only person insured on the policy is Directline’s matched no
claims discount. This applies to a second car insured to be driven
by you and no one else.
In addition to Directline applying your no claims discount to the second
vehicle, you may qualify for additional multi-car discounts on offer.
Company car drivers no claims discount will also be recognised provided
you are over the age of 25 and no claims have been made on the company
insurance policy.
Like other large insurance companies, three types of cover are offered,
third party, third party fire and theft and comprehensive. An accident
action pack and 24 hour accident and windscreen help lines are available
on all policies. Car windscreen repair is included within comprehensive
cover and legal protection insurance is optional.
Please refer to Directline.com for a full list of
terms and conditions or contact the company concerned for more information.
