The Automobile Association or AA as they are more commonly known has
built their motoring reputation on their vehicle breakdown service. This is demonstrated
by winning the J D Power and Associates Award for the best Roadside Assistance
Provider in customer satisfaction.
For customers looking to obtain an online quote for
their car there are 4 different
levels of cover to choose from. The cheapest breakdown insurance offered
is option 100 which includes roadside should your vehicle require assistance.
Conditions do apply, for example, the AA will attempt to fix the car
on the spot, however, if this proves impossible the vehicle will be
towed to the nearest garage. If you are unable to start the car whilst
at home, option 100 insurance cover can only be invoked provided you breakdown
at least quarter of mile away from your dwelling.
The second least expensive breakdown cover is option 200, this incorporates all
of the benefits of option 100 insurance cover and relay. If the AA is unable to fix your
car at the roadside, they will transport the vehicle and all of its passengers
to any mainland UK destination.
Option 300 breakdown insurance cover includes the benefits of both 100 and 200 and homestart.
This simply means your car will be towed to the nearest garage assuming
it cannot be fixed on the spot by the AA.
Relay Plus or option 400 is the most expensive car breakdown insurance
available from the AA. Roadside assistance, relay, and homestart are included.
A replacement vehicle for up to 48 hours, accommodation and travel expenses
are covered
assuming your car cannot be fixed at the roadside away from home.
It is worth remembering that the basis of car breakdown
insurance cover offered by the AA is
personal, however, joint or family membership is available.
